Alice was born in a small town in Italy, her mum a beautiful strong willed Italian woman, her dad beautiful and rebellious Caribbean man. A bit of a drama queen from an early age (mum used to call her Sarah Bernard) she mellowed a lot through the years saving the drama for the stage (but that comes later in the story).
A curious and outgoing child, she decided to become an actress at the age of 11, an instinct led her towards performing. She grabbed any opportunity to explore performance that her environment would allow, from story telling classes to mime. At 14 she was selected to be part of the Studio Marchetti school of acting which she attended until the age of 18. Alessandro Marchetti is a renowned director with a strong background in Comedia dell’Arte. Comedia dell’Arte has been a great influence in Alice’s work, especially when I comes to comedy characters.
She always had a love for the English language, which she spoke from an early age, for Shakespeare and the English theatre (and humor, always a fan of the Monty Pythons) so it doesn't come as a surprise that she decided to continue her training in the UK. She started her journey at Arts Educational Schools London where she spent three years exploring her love, her ability and her understanding of performance. She had some amazing teachers that made her realize what was beyond that first instinct that led her to want to become an actress. Her fascination with human nature, her love of literature and of the spoken word, her desire to communicate and inhabit the life of the character, these are only few of the reason she still wants to be an actress, no matter how hard it is and also because she can't not be.
Since leaving drama school she has been involved in several projects, from theatre to film, she learned a lot from and come to realize how vital performance is to her. Unfortunately Alice is not as comfortable selling her skill as she is in performing, something she has to work on for the future. She now longs for her work to be recognized and at the same time wants to continue to look into ways to better herself as an actress.
